Avocado Infused Hummus Recipe

Servings: 6 (about 2 tablespoons per serving)


Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted

  • 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 2 tablespoons tahini

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime or lemon juice

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin

  • ¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • 2–3 tablespoons water (as needed for consistency)

  • Optional garnish: chopped cilantro, red pepper flakes, or a drizzle of olive oil


Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, avocado, tahini, lime juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Add water one tablespoon at a time to reach your desired consistency.

  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

  4. Transfer to a bowl and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
