Servings: 8–10 (makes about 24 skewers)
Ingredients:
1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes (about 24)
8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine – about 24)
24 fresh basil leaves
Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
Olive oil
Salt & pepper
24 mini skewers or toothpicks
Instructions:
Rinse and dry the tomatoes and basil. Drain and pat dry the mozzarella balls.
Thread 1 tomato, 1 basil leaf (folded if large), and 1 mozzarella ball onto each skewer or toothpick.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
Arrange on a festive platter. For a patriotic touch, line them up in rows or in a flag shape.
